About JEE Main 2027 (Session 1)
JEE Main is the national entrance exam for NITs, IIITs and other centrally funded technical institutions, and the qualifying exam for JEE Advanced. NTA conducts it in two sessions; candidates may appear in one or both, and the better score counts.
The countdown targets the first exam day at 9:00 AM IST. Your actual date and shift will be on your admit card.
Preparation tips for the days left
- Revise the Class 11 and Class 12 NCERT books for Chemistry thoroughly — a large share of JEE Main chemistry questions come straight from them.
- Take at least one full-length mock test per week in the final two months, in the same shift timing as your exam.
- Keep your Class 12 marks in mind too: admission to NITs and IIITs also has a Class 12 eligibility requirement.

Are the JEE Main 2027 dates final?
No. NTA has described them as tentative. Final dates and your exam city and shift will be confirmed through official notices and your admit card.
When is JEE Main 2027 Session 2?
NTA had not announced Session 2 dates as of the last update of this page. In previous years Session 2 was held in April.
