Solved examples

Example 1: Today is 1 October and the exam is on 3 October at 10:30. How long is left at 8:00?

  • 2 days until 3 October 08:00
  • + 2 hours 30 minutes

Answer: 2 days, 2 hours, 30 minutes

Always use official dates

Exam dates change. Board date sheets, NTA exam calendars and university timetables are sometimes revised after release, so set your countdown from the latest official notice or your admit card, and update it if the schedule changes.

Turn the countdown into a plan

Seeing the number of days left is motivating, but it works best alongside a plan. Use the Study Time Calculator to split your remaining chapters across the days you have, and keep the last week or two for revision and sample papers.
